The Kat Moore Band

"Rockin Country- Texas Style"

Hailing from Lewisville, TX. their music has been described as Country, Country/Rock, Americana and "other" depending on who you are asking. Regardless of how you choose to label it, one thing is certain - it's music that comes from the heart and just about anybody that listens will find themselves relating to it.

Kat is a native Texan, raised in the Dallas area by two parents that were full-time musicians. She has been an active member of the music scene since age 11, working the Texas opry circuit until age 15 and later landing a steady gig as a featured vocalist with Orville Couch & Cross Country. Orville was best known for his 1960's hit "Hello Trouble" and his many appearances on the famous “Big D Jamboree”. Kat spent the next decade singing and experiencing a variety of styles ranging from Jazz Standards to Alternative Rock gaining valuable life lessons and paying her dues. Most recently, Kat has formed her own band with core members Dave Moore (guitar/vocals) and Tommy Watts (drums/vocals)The group released their debut album "Big Texas Sky" in March of 2009 featuring their first single - "Dance All Night" - which was well accepted by radio across the Lone Star state and achieved impressive chart status.

In November of 2009 KMB hit the studio once again, this time teaming up with producer Greg White at SG Studios in Ft. Worth (Jamie Richards, Spur 503, Robert Donahue Band, Brad Hines).  The result of those sessions was a powerful four track EP titled "Home" featuring the new single "Married Thing" as well as two brand new originals and a masterful rendition of the Little Feat classic "Willin".

Currently, KMB is on the road visiting stations while playing clubs, casinos and festivals across Texas and the surrounding states.
